Fun Postagram Postcards! Wheee!
Don’t know if you folks have ever tried using any of the apps/services that let you create custom cards and postcards that are actually printed on paper and then sent via some guy or gal who lugs around this heavy bag on their shoulders, painfully walking from door to door to door, delivering useless stuff nobody really needs, well… You’re in for a treat!
Postagram is a nicely designed iPhone app that lets you create a postcard that you can customize with a message and whatever image you want to send. This is then printed and mailed to whomever, who’ll get it in 4 days or so.
In one way, it feels odd to be using digital tools to create an analog thing that is usually better served by a digital tool (email, in this case), BUT there is something undeniably cool about getting a physical 4-color postcard with a unique image and message. This you can tack up on your bulletin board or refrigerator and it won’t be forgotten like this morning’s email.
